2022 USC SCend Off held in Seoul |

USC 한국총동문회가 주최하는 SCend Off 행사가 지난 7월 15일 7시에 강남에 위치한 오뚜기빌딩 풍림홀에서 열렸다. SCend Off는 새로 입학허가를 받은 신입생들을 트로잔 페밀리로 환영하며 입학에 앞서 엘에이와 학교생활에 대해 안내해주는 행사이다. 이번 SCend Off는 100여 명이 등록한 가운데 함영준 동문회 회장의 인사말로 시작됐으며 젊은 동문들의 모임인 Trojan 21과 현재 USC 의 한국 학생동아리의 임원들이 프레젠테이션을 통해 USC Tradition, 여러 도서관과 USC Village 등 학교의 주요 건물이나 시설 등을 안내했으며 학교생활의 유용한 팁과 다양한 USC 한국학생 동아리들을 소개했다. 프레젠테이션이 끝난 후에는 신입생들의 여러 질문에 대해 재학생들이 답변해 주는 Q/A 시간을 가졌다.
올해에는 학부생 약 60명과 대학원생 110여명이 USC로부터 입학허가를 받았다.
The 2022 SCend Off in Korea, hosted by the USC Alumni Club of Korea, was held at 7 p.m. on July 15 at the Ottogi building in the Gangnam area. The USC SCend Off is an event where USC alumni welcome incoming students to the Trojan family and share information about LA and campus life. The event began with welcome greetings from Ham, Young-Joon, President of the USC Alumni Club of Korea to the approximately 100 attendees. The Trojan 21 members and the representatives of various Korean student organizations presented a PowerPoint explaining USC traditions, providing information about USC's facilities such as the Book Store, Health Center, and USC Village sharing a useful tips for college life, and introducing various USC Korean student clubs. The event also included group sessions for Q/A discussion. |
