USC 한국동문회가 주최하는 SCend Off가 지난 7월 30일 저녁 7시에 열렸다. Scend Off는 세계 도처의 USC동문들이 각 도시에서 새로 입학하는 신입생들을 트로잔 패밀리로 환영하는 행사이다. 온라인으로 열린 이번 행사에는 약 30명이 참가한 가운데 함영준 동문회 회장과 USC Korea office의 최희연 디렉터의 인사말로 시작됐다. 함 회장은 학생들에게 코로나로 어려운 상황이지만 긍정적인 마음으로 캠퍼스 생활을 즐길 것을 당부했다. 진행을 맡은 트로잔 21의 멤버들은 PPT를 통해 USC Tradition과 Book Store, Health Center, Lyon Center, 여러 도서관과 USC Village 등 학교의 주요 건물이나 시설 등을 안내했으며 또한 다양한 USC 한국학생 동아리들을 소개했다. 마지막으로 프레젠테이션이 끝난 후에는 신입생들의 여러 질문에 대해 재학생들이 답변해 주는 Q/A 시간을 가졌다.
The 2021 SCend Off in Korea, hosted by the USC Alumni Club of Korea was held at 7 p.m. on July 30. The SCend Off is an event where USC alumni welcome incoming students to the Trojan family. The event, which was held online, began with welcome greetings from Ham, Young-joon, President of USC Alumni Club of Korea, and Choi, Hee-yeon, Director of the USC Korea Office, with about 30 attendees. President Ham urged students to enjoy campus life with a positive mind despite the difficult situation due to Covid-19. The Trojan 21 members explained the USC tradition and provided the info about the major buildings or facilities of USC such as Book Store, Health Center, Lyon Center, Libraries, and USC Village through PPT, and also introduced various USC Korean student clubs. The event also included group sessions for Q/A discussion.
