USC MBA PRIME Students visit Korea
USC Marshall °æ¿µ´ëÇÐÀÇ Full-Time MBA ÇлýµéÀÌ PRIME °úÁ¤À» À̼öÇϱâ À§ÇØ 5¿ù 15-17ÀÏ Çѱ¹À» ¹æ¹®Çß´Ù.  PRIME(Pacific Rim International Management Education)Àº ¹Ì±¹°ú ¾Æ½Ã¾Æ-ÅÂÆò¾ç ±×¸®°í ¶óƾ ¾Æ¸Þ¸®Ä« Áö¿ªÀÇ ±â¾÷ ȯ°æÀ» ºñ±³ÇÏ°í, Áö¿ª ±â¾÷¿¡ ´ëÇÑ ÀÌÇظ¦ µ½±â À§ÇÑ °ú¸ñÀÌ´Ù.  ÀÌ °úÁ¤¿¡´Â Çѱ¹°ú Áß±¹, ÀϺ», ű¹, Æä·ç µîÀ» ¹æ¹®ÇÏ´Â ÇØ¿Ü °ßÇÐ ÇÁ·Î±×·¥(PRIME International Experiential Learning)ÀÌ Æ÷ÇÔµÅÀÖ´Ù.  À̹ø 40 ¿©¸íÀÇ  PRIME ¹æ¹®´ÜÀº ´ëÇÑÇ×°ø, Á¾À̳ª¶ó, Çö´ë¾Æ»êº´¿ø, ¸¸µµ, ÆÁ½º Ÿ¿îÀ» °ßÇÐÇßÀ¸¸ç, ÇлýµéÀº »çÀü¿¡ ÁøÇàÇÑ ¿¬±¸ ÇÁ·ÎÁ§Æ®¸¦ °¢ ±â¾÷¿¡¼­ ¹ßÇ¥Çß´Ù.  Çѱ¹¿¡¼­ ÀÏÁ¤À» ¸¶Ä£ À̵éÀº º£ÀÌ¡À¸·Î ÇâÇß´Ù. PRIME Students at Jong Ie Nara Company, Ltd.
The USC Marshall School of Business Full-Time MBA students visited Seoul from May 15-17.  The students visited Korea through PRIME, an experiential learning program that compares and contrasts the U.S. business experience with that in the Asia-Pacific and Latin American regions.  The course includes PRIME International Experiential Learning, which visits Korea, China, Japan, Thailand and Peru.  This year's Seoul and Beijing trip consisted of 44 people in total, including Professors.  The students visited major Korean companies such as Korean Air, Jong Ie Nara Company, Ltd., Hyundai ASAN Medical Center, Mando, and TIPS Town.  Prior to their visit to Korea, students researched companies in their company-specific projects and analyzed business and economic environments, and they presented their researches during their visits to companies.  Upon completion of their trip to Korea, the students and faculties traveled to Beijing.  For more information on the USC Marshall School of Business MBA program, please visit http://www.marshall.usc.edu/mba

USCÇѱ¹µ¿¹®È¸°¡ Áö³­ 5¿ù 13ÀÏ ±â¾÷Ž¹æ Çà»ç¸¦ °¡Á³´Ù.  ¹ÚÀ¯»ó, ¼ÕºÀ¶ô Àü µ¿¹®È¸Àå°ú ¹ÚÀα¸ Çö µ¿¹®È¸ÀåÀ» ºñ·Ô ¾à 20 ¿©¸íÀÇ µ¿¹®ÀÌ ÀÎõ¿¡ ÀÖ´Â ÀÎÇÏ´ëÇб³¿Í ÀÎõ °æÁ¦ÀÚÀ¯±¸¿ªÃ», ¶ÇÇÑ µ¿¹® ±â¾÷ÀÎ (ÁÖ)TPC ¸ÞÄ«Æ®·Î´Ð½º¸¦ ¹æ¹®Çß´Ù.  ÀÎÇÏ´ëÇб³ÀÇ ÃÖ¼øÀÚ ÃÑÀåÀº USC¿¡¼­ È­ÇаøÇÐ ¹Ú»ç¸¦ ÃëµæÇÑ µ¿¹®À¸·Î 2015³â Á¦ 14´ë ÃÑÀåÀ¸·Î ÃëÀÓÇß´Ù. ÃÖÃÑÀåÀº ¹æ¹®´ÜÀ» ȯ¿µÇÏ°í Çб³ÀÇ ¿¬Çõ°ú ¾ÕÀ¸·ÎÀÇ Çб³ ºñÀü µîÀ» ¼³¸íÇØÁÖ¾ú´Ù.  À̾ ¼ÛµµÀÇ G Tower¿¡¼­ ¹æ¹®´ÜÀº ÀÌ¿µ±Ù ÀÎõ °æÁ¦ÀÚÀ¯±¸¿ªÃ»ÀåÀ¸·Î ºÎÅÍ Á÷Á¢ °³¹ßÇöȲ¿¡ ´ëÇÑ ¾È³»¸¦ µéÀ¸¸ç ¼Ûµµ¸¦ Àü¸ÁÇÒ ¼ö ÀÖ´Â ±âȸ¸¦ °¡Á³´Ù.  ¶ÇÇÑ TPC ¸ÞÄ«Æ®·Î´Ð½º¿¡¼­´Â GEMBA µ¿¹®ÀÎ ¾öÀçÀ± ´ëÇ¥ÀÌ»ç·ÎºÎÅÍ ·Îº¸Æ®³ª 3D ÇÁ¸°Å͸¦ ÀÌ¿ëÇÑ »ê¾÷ÀÚµ¿È­ µî¿¡ ´ëÇÑ Á¤º¸¸¦ ¾ò°í °øÀåÀ»  °ßÇÐÇß´Ù.  USCÇѱ¹µ¿¹®È¸ÀÇ µ¿¹® ±â¾÷ ¹æ¹® ȤÀº ¹®È­ Ž¹æÀº ¸Å³â ¿­¸®´Â Çà»ç·Î ¸¹Àº µ¿¹®µéÀÇ È£ÀÀÀ» ¾ò°í ÀÖ´Ù.
On May 13th, USC Alumni Club of Korea held an annual enterprise visit day.  Including Yu Sang Park, Bong Rak Sohn(former president of USC Alumni Club of Korea), and Ingu Park(current president of USC Alumni Club of Korea), more than 20 alumni joined the visit.  The group visited Inha University, Incheon Free Economic Zone G Tower, and TPC Mechatronics Corp.  At Inha University, Soonja Choe, the 14th president of university and USC Viterbi School of Engineering alumna, welcomed the group. Choe explained the university¡¯s history and vision.  At G Tower in Songdo, Young Geun Lee, the Commissioner of Incheon Free Economic Zone, explained about development of Songdo.  Lastly, at TPC Mechatronics, Jae Yoon Eum, an alumnus of GEMBA, shared information about industrial automation using 3D printer and robots.  USC Alumni Club of Korea¡¯s visit to alumni enterprises is an annual event, which has received favorable responses from alumni.

On May 27th, USC Alumni Club of Korea hosted a sports day at Goyang Oulimnuri Physical Education Center.  The day began early in the morning with an opening ceremony and greetings from USC Alumni baseball club President David Lee and Secretary Dae Ho Jang.  About 25 alumni and students together played soccer, dodge ball, baseball, basketball, home run derby, and relay race. The day ended with the awarding of prizes and closing statements from Lee and Jang, during which both expressed their hope that the sports day event will take place every year and that it will lead to more participation of alumni and their families.

USC's 134th commencement ceremony was held on May 12th with nearly 17,000 degrees given to a diverse group of USC graduates, representing more than 115 nations.  Comedian Will Ferrell, a 1990 USC graduate, received an honorary doctorate and delivered the main address at today¡¯s commencement ceremonies.  As expected, there were plenty of jokes but also some surprising insights.  Ferrell advised the class of 2017 to trust one¡¯s gut and keep trying.  Along with Ferrell, Suzanne Dworak-Peck, the social work pioneer and philanthropist and four others were presented with honorary degrees.  Read more

Endowed Chair in Comedy
USC School of Cinematic Arts´Â Á¶Áö ·çÄ«½º Æйи® Àç´Ü(George Lucas Family Foundation)ÀÌ ½ºÅÄµå ¾÷ ÄÚ¸Þµð¾ð °â ¹è¿ìÀΠ·Îºó Àª¸®¾ö½º¸¦ ±â³äÇÏ°íÀÚ, ·Îºó Àª¸®¾ö½º ±â±Ý ±³¼öÁ÷(Robin Williams Endowed Chair)¸¦ ¼³¸³Çß´Ù°í ¹ßÇ¥Çß´Ù.  ÀÌ ±â±ÝÁ÷ÀǠù ¼öÇýÀÚ´Â School of Cinematic Arts Çʸ§ ¹× TV ÇÁ·Î´ö¼Ç ±³¼öÀÎ Barnet KellmanÀÌ´Ù. The George Lucas Family Foundation has established the Robin Williams Endowed Chair in Comedy in honor of the late stand-up comedian and actor, the USC School of Cinematic Arts announced.  The first holder of the Robin Williams Endowed Chair is Barnet Kellman, a School of Cinematic Arts professor in the Division of Film & Television Production.  Kellman is one of the preeminent director-producers of television pilots.  He won two Emmys and a Directors Guild Award.  Read more

2017 USC Global Conference in Tokyo (Sept 21-23)
