Tidings from TroyDear Fellow Trojans, This month, nearly three years after we broke ground on USC Village, the largest economic development project in the history of South Los Angeles, the first of 2,700 student residents will move in on August 14. Covering 15 acres, the $700 million residential and retail complex has rightly been called a ¡°game-changer¡± for both the university and the neighborhood. Its mixture of residence halls, restaurants, shops and open spaces will foster a greater sense of community, bringing USC students, faculty, parents, alumni, friends and neighbors together in a beautiful and welcoming environment.
