Tidings from TroyDear Fellow Trojans, On December 1, we kicked off the holiday season with the Trojans¡¯ 31-28 defeat of the Stanford Cardinal to win the Pac-12 championship—our first conference title in nine years. Next up, the Men of Troy will take on the Ohio State Buckeyes in the Cotton Bowl on December 29 in Arlington, Texas.

| Trojans Score GRAMMY Nominations Kudos to jazz pianist Billy Childs ¡¯79 and all the USC Thornton School of Music alumni and faculty members who received GRAMMY Award nominations in eight categories. The 60th Annual GRAMMY Awards will be broadcast live on CBS on January 28.

| In Memoriam: MacDonald Becket ¡¯52 On behalf of the Trojan Family, the USC Alumni Association expresses its condolences to the family of visionary architect MacDonald Becket, whose firm endowed 5 USC scholarships. A driving force in L.A. architecture, Becket had an integral role in the design of Century City and other world landmarks.

Young Alumni Spotlight | To provide a lifeline for vulnerable LGBT people in the Middle East and North Africa, Kevin Steen ¡¯13 and Clara Hill ¡¯12 founded the NGO Rainbow Street, which works with local activists and partner organizations to provide essential resources to people facing extreme discrimination.
