On May 24, Michael A. Felix ‘83 began his tenure as the 2018-19 president of the USC Alumni Association Board of Governors. A member of the USC Latino Alumni Association Corporate Advisory Board, Felix was formerly installed at the 2018 USCAA Board of Governors Annual Meeting.

Real estate developer, civic leader and philanthropist Rick Caruso ’80 has been elected the chair of the USC Board of Trustees. The longtime university supporter and USC Marshall alumnus begins his five-year term immediately.

A Trailblazing Trojan Roboticist
At 27, Ayanna Howard MS ’94, PhD ’99 took charge of the NASA team developing AI for Mars rovers. Today, she’s the chair of Georgia Tech’s School of Interactive Computing and the chief technology officer of Zyrobotics, a company she co-founded to build educational products for children.

Bringing Yoga to Inner-City Kids
Thanks to a gift from Teresa Updegraff Power ’84 (pictured), USC Dornsife’s Joint Educational Project is expanding its Little Yoginis program for inner-city kids, helping them find tranquility in the midst of chaos.
