Dear USC Alumni,

Yesterday, the U.S. Department of Justice announced its investigation of a nationwide college admissions bribery scheme targeting some of the country¡¯s most prestigious universities, including USC.

We are sharing Interim President Wanda M. Austin¡¯s letter with faculty, staff and students, as well as reinforcing the following points:

The university will continue to cooperate in the government investigation.

USC is taking all appropriate personnel actions for those involved in the alleged scheme. This includes the termination yesterday of two employees.

Regarding the students associated with the alleged scheme, each case will be reviewed individually, and we will make informed, appropriate decisions based on that review. Those associated with the scheme who applied for admission for the coming academic year will be denied admission.

This alleged misconduct by these individuals does not align with our values, policies and procedures.

We will update you as more information becomes available.

You will find Interim President Wanda M. Austin's letter to the USC community here.

Thank you,

USC Alumni Association
