Dear USC Community:

On October 15, 2010, the University of Southern California will celebrate the installation of C. L. Max Nikias as USC's 11th president. I hope you will save the date and plan to attend this milestone in the life of the university.

The formal installation ceremony will take place in Alumni Park on the University Park campus on Friday morning, October 15, but the celebration officially begins on Monday, October 11, with some very special events throughout the week.

The inauguration of USC's next president marks the beginning of a new era of excellence in teaching, research, and service to our community, our nation, and our world. I hope you will be able to participate in this university-wide celebration to honor Max Nikias and his wife, Niki, as they officially assume their new roles as president and first lady of the University of Southern California.
