The Master of Global Public Policy is designed and
conferred by both Hong Kong University (HKU) and the USC Price School of Public
Policy. Designed for working professionals, the Master of Global Public Policy
is a 15-month degree program, spanning four semesters and comprised of four
in-person sessions in Los Angeles and China. Among the unique features of this
program, students will benefit from a globally-oriented curriculum and faculty;
an international cohort, diverse in sectors and industries; a flexible schedule
with 40% facilitated online; a professional network across continents and
universities; and progressive learning models and
technologies.
Keck School of
Medicine offers a Master of Science (MS) degree in Global Biotechnology. This
program combines a unique curriculum and distinctive practical training that
exposes students to biotechnology and its specific applications in various
fields. Drawing strength from the Keck School of Medicine faculty¡¯s education,
research, practice expertise, and global connections, this program educates
students on approaches used in the academic research, biotechnology and medical
sciences industries in the US and internationally.
The USC Mark
and Mary Stevens Neuroimaging and Informatics Institute in the Keck School of
Medicine of USC is home to a new, one-year Masters of Science (MS) degree
program focused on neuroimaging and the informatics associated with brain
imaging. This advanced program of study will provide students with a deep
understanding of the scientific and clinical underpinnings of neuroimaging
science and how to leverage it in large-scale to make new and important
discoveries in biomedicine.
A $200,000
gift to the International Center for Regulatory Science by philanthropist
D.K. Kim will expand global outreach efforts by the USC School of Pharmacy,
establishing international service and summer scholars program funds.The gift
will create the D.K. Kim International Service Fund to support clinical service
programs that will train pharmacy students to become primary health care
providers to patients in underserved areas of developing countries, providing
much-needed medical services to individuals who may not otherwise receive proper
care.It will also establish the D.K. Kim Summer Scholars Program Fund, advancing
regulatory science internationally by supporting a one-month summer program for
students from a variety of countries.
